WAR… Traditionally in our society it is accepted that the Soviet Union made a small contribution to the victory in World war II and downplay the feats of the Soviet people. We know a lot about our heroic exploits in the struggle against fascism, but so few know how to fight the Soviet people. The Soviet Union lost in this war tens of millions of people. As shown by recent studies, using US and UK went far beyond military cooperation, and in many industries contributed to the development of Soviet industry. So, I decided to write a book about how people fought in the Soviet Union with the threat of fascism. The memoirs of participants of those events show us about the heroic contributions of ordinary people in the war. These memories should remind us of all the horrors of war.
